Praiseworthy Baby Blues ~

Yesterday, my daughter, Eva, started her day off with putting on her baby blue dress to get her haircut, have her ears pierced, and then have her pictures taken at Sears.  It was after her haircut that I realized Eva was now facing a little fear in getting her ears pierced.  With her baby blue dress on, I saw some baby blue tears trickle down her face. I too was now facing a little fear, doubting whether she was old enough to go through with the whole thing.   After a few words of encouragement and praise from the sweet ladies at the beauty salon, Eva closed her eyes, held my hands, wiped away her little baby blue tears, and soon enough, her ears sparkled with shiny new earrings.  Opening her eyes, her big brown eyes shined with pure bliss and joy.   Praise the Lord for his strength while facing small and large fears in life.  All I know is this ~ Eva now had just a baby blue dress, no more baby blue tears or fears;  the only fear one should really have is fear of the Lord.
